Our History
Chaotic Neutral of the US-Turalyon server was established during The Burning Crusade (TBC) expansion to progress in 25-man raid content. We fully cleared the T4, T5, and Mount Hyjal/Black Temple zones before patch 3.0. We delved into the Sunwell after the patch, beating a few nerfed bosses as we waited for the Wrath of the Lich King expansion (WotLK). In WotLK, we downed everything on 10 man, and everything except heroic Anub and heroic LK in 25s.
Then Cataclysm brought change to WoW. One of those changes was to supposedly make 10 and 25 man raids equal in achievements and loot. Due to many players choosing to leave the game for RL, or to go more casual, CN changed to 10-man raiding. But after 6 months of pulling our hair out at the various quirks and dilemmas 10 mans hold vs 25, we decided to switch back. We recruited enough to go into 25s the following week, and have met our 10 man heroic progression as of June 9, 2011.
So what is CN?
We are not a 7-day-a-week, 5-hour-a-day raiding guild. We are also not a "casual leveling" guild. We raid 25-man instances 3 days a week. Our raiding style can be best described as "efficient". We consider our time together pretty valuable so downtime in the raid is kept to a minimum. We certainly don't consider our raid atmosphere to be "hostile", and have what we consider to be a lot of fun. I'd describe the kind of fun we have, but things can sound weird out of context. However, if you like steak, cheese & zombies, we might be for you.
We schedule raid content from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM server time Tuesday, Thursday and Monday.
The following sections detail out how Chaotic Neutral is run, and what we expect of our members. Read it.
