Guild Ranks

Ranks/Explanations

Officers - Managers of guild affairs. This includes dealing with recruits, setting the guild message of the day, raid coordination, controlling ranks, and setting any fun guild activities. Officers have gmotd modification powers, officer note modification access and access to officer chat, officer website forum and officer/counselor forum.

Counselors - People who frequently contribute advice on pertinant matters to officers. In particular, topics such as people's raid suitability as well as advice on how to help folks play better. Counselors have access to officer chat and the officer/counselor forum.

Raiders - Those in guild who have consistently proven their mettle in 25 man raids, demonstrating skill, knowledge, and good attendance. Raiders excel at their class and their play in a demanding raid situation. Raiders must maintain their high level of performance, or will be demoted. Raiders have first priority for invites in progression raids. Raiders can set their own note. Raiders are expected to be available and/or attend a minimum of 66% of all raids. Some exceptions or understandings apply to attendance in that members with good standing who need to take a break for a while will be accommodated if at all possible.

Casual Raider - Expectations are the same as for Raider rank, except for attendance. People at Casual rank are here because they have shown they can play in a highly demanding end game situation, although not at the frequency the Raiders do. Casual Raiders may sign up for 25 man content, but Raiders will get priority on invites.

Members - Rank for friends and family, and those in guild who for one reason or another are not part of the "progression team". You are not a bad or inferior person for having this rank. May still raid advanced content depending upon raid spot availability. Players in the members rank can move up to a Raider rank upon passing certain benchmarks (see below). Members rank players Will be able to set their own note.

Initiate - Entry-level rank. Those that have passed application process and are extended a guild invite will be place here. A 2-4 week evaluation of your ability to get along with fellow guild members and generally being a good fit will occur before moving higher in rank. Initiates will not be able to set their own guild note.

Muted R-Tard - A "time out" rank. Those that get annoying in guild chat will be placed in this rank, and have no powers (can't speak in guild chat or do much of anything). Please note this rank title is subject to change, determined by the whimsy of the GM and/or officers.

How to achieve Raider rank:

Note: this is for current Members of Chaotic Neutral, and not new invites. However, if you do wish to join, meeting the following requirements would be good.

To achieve the rank of raider, several criteria will be evaluated:

  • Gear - Gear is not everything, but you won't put out significant numbers in end-game content if you are decked out in blues compared to purples, or to not have the proper enchants or gems in your gear, or do not have knowledge of what consumables will help you play better. Being a raider requires a lot of effort put into your character. You should not expect to hit level 80 and expect to come on a progression raid in whatever you used to level.
  • Need for Class/Role - We may be simply full up of a particular class or role. If this is the case, we will not consider you for raider rank.
  • Testing - When you wish to move up to Raider rank, contact an officer and request testing. Arrangements will be made for a raid to test your performance. Your performance will be monitored by a counselor/officer that is proficient in your role. Please be aware testing may take some time.
